You can leave a group by right clicking on the group name in the contacts window and selecting ‘delete contact’. Alternatively, you can ask the administrator of the group to remove you from the group. If you want to remain a member of the group but do not wish to see and be seen by members of a group you can remove the see and be seen status of the group in the contacts menu.
